Bio
Shawlon brings his extensive experience in the United States and Peoples Republic of China to his role as practice liaison between the Sydney, Beijing, Shanghai, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City offices.
In this role Shawlon emphases teamwork and collaboration in practice management. This orientation is informed by Shawlon’s formative practice experiences at Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo Associates and Santiago Calatrava.
In 2012 Shawlon joined the CCDI Group in Shanghai where he consolidated the façade engineering service. He led the engineering team involved in the design and construction of the Jinan Han Yu A5-3 precinct project in Jinan, Shandong province. Shawlon designed the external envelope for the 330 metre tower building, one of 12 buildings in the project.
In acknowledging his cross-cultural life and practice acumen Shawlon was invited to be part of the CDDI Business Strategy and Development team responsible for setting corporate strategy. In 2016 Shawlon relocated to Sydney to liaise the transition of the various offices.
Shawlon participates in events of the Shanghai chapter of the American Institute of Architects and contributes to the Global Aging Network (International Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing IAHSA).
