Richmond High School

A comprehensive community high school committed to delivering innovative curricular and extra-curricular programs, the replacement of the existing bini shell dome with a new multipurpose hall and associated facilities allows the school to better host the activities of its school and local community.

Guided by the NSW Department of Education's five Education principles, consultation with school and community stakeholders (PRG) established the importance of:

  • Positioning the new building so that the visual links and maintained between existing courtyards and the hall.
  • Minimising encroachment of the new building on the sporting fields and courts.
  • Acknowledging community emotional attachment to the existing bini shell.
  • Importance of regular community and after hours use of the hall for sporting and performance activities.

Scope: Full masterplanning, architectural design, landscape design and documentation services with advice and site attendance during construction.
