PTW wins 1 & 2 Murray Rose Avenue SOPA Design Excellence Competition
PTW has been announced as the winner of the Sydney Olympic Park Authority Design Excellence Competition for 1 & 2 Murray Rose Avenue. Considered as an urban gateway to Sydney Olympic Park, located at the edge of the Sydney Olympic Park Town Centre and the south-eastern corner of Brick Pit Park, this six star Green Star high-density residential project includes two 15 and 8 level mixed use towers, with access to Australia’s premier sporting and recreational uses.
The site is designed to retain views across the opens spaces of Brickpit Park and Badu Mangroves, with the buildings characterised by organic, stepped forms with curved corners, taking cues from the adjoining curvilinear Brickpit ring walk. The design of the buildings incorporate fine slab lines and sinuous spandrels to visually integrate each podium and tower as one visual element. The $105 million project sits on an approximately 6,453 square metre site.
