East Circular Quay

PTW Architects in association with HPA and DBA

The development at East Circular Quay serves as a link between the city and the Opera House. The previous developments on the site consisted of predominantly 60’s buildings, which precluded any possibility of activating the street edge.

The promenade is now over two hundred metres long and is activated by a 7 metre high, 6 metre wide colonnade incorporating shops and 7,000m² of retail spaces, cafes and restaurants.  An art-house cinema and rehearsal space for the Australian Chamber Orchestra adds to the civic character of the precinct.

Above are private apartments in the Colonial Peninsula section of the development nearest the Opera House. And serviced apartments in the Mirvac section adjacent the Quay.
