Claremont Meadows Public School, NSW

Grow, Believe, Succeed

The project scope for this school refurbishment is to meet the needs of an expected 800 primary school children. It involves 12 new permanent teaching spaces for nearly 300 children; associated Outdoor Learning Spaces (COLA) and the upgrade of core facilities for children, staff and administration. Guided by the DE’s five Education principles, consultation with school and community stakeholders (PRG) established:

• Importance of configuring new building elements so that visual links are maintained betwee the existing courtyards and the playing fields
• Importance of minimising encroachment of new building on the playing fields
• Playful sense of diversity
