Katarina has expertise, ranging from large scale masterplanning projects through to feasibility studies, architectural design and documentation, interiors, and furniture design. She has over 25 years’ experience in the architecture and design industry, gained both in Australia and overseas.

Katarina has led large scale teams to successfully execute complicated and award-winning projects, inclusive of health, education, aged care and justice projects. Her design approach is based on research and evidence-based design, utilising her extensive knowledge of evidence-based findings linking human cognitive abilities and well-being to the built environment.

She has a strong understanding of environmental design issues and has co-authored the publication ‘Stay Cool: A Guide for the Built Environment in Hot Climates’ which explored climatically appropriate urban and architectural responses achievable through
fundamental design principles.

She is also well versed in Designing with Country and drives culturally appropriate and placemaking responses in projects.

Katarina has been a tutor and guest critic over many years at both the Schools of Architecture and Interior Design at USYD, UNSW and UTS.

Katarina has also been selected as a sponsor in the 2023 Property Council of Australia’s 500 Women in Property program.
