Level Eleven #14: Social Sustainability

PTW were excited to relaunch our Industry talk series with a night of cross cultural exchanging of ideas and reflections at Level Eleven #14: Social Sustainability - A cross cultural exploration from Australia and Denmark talk.

Thank you so much Bernadette (B) Hardy for the Welcome to Country and reflections on the myriad relationships that bind us to our history and Olivia Hyde, Director of Design Excellence at Government Architect NSW for moderating and leading such an engaging and thought-provoking Q&A.

Associate Professor Rasmus W. Frisk, Co-founder and Director from arki_lab brought the cross cultural exploration from Denmark and challenged the audience on how we can be better at measuring the value of Social sustainability in Urban design. Followed by Matte Ager-McConnell, Design Director and UTS Lecturer from garigarra who generously shared insightful and moving stories, learnings and the optimism he brings to his students and work. Lastly, PTW Executive Director Diane Jones shared the journey and processes of First Nations Consultation for the University of Wollongong Innovation Campus Health and Wellbeing Precinct.

We would like to share our great appreciation and thanks to all our panellists and audience for such a meaningful and special night!
