Simon’s capability in managing sensitive proposals and projects is well recognised and regarded by clients. His contributions to projects such as the competition winning Cumberland Newspaper site project at Parramatta and the triple tower mixed use project at 88 Christie Street St Leonards are focussed on the design and development of complex high density tower buildings in significant city settings. Simon led the bid for the North West Rail Link infrastructure project with Transform. Simon was appointed Managing Director Asia Pacific in 2020, Executive Director and Practice Leader in 2014 and Director in 2008. In advancing the future of Australian architectural practice in East Asia, Simon has led the Sydney practice through a period of transformation from a partner model to a regional corporate organisation. In his leadership role, Simon brings his architectural acumen to a client focussed oversight of all practice sectors to ensure values of quality and architectural excellence in all projects. Simon contributes to government, industry and professional settings such as the ACA Association of Chartered Architects (ACA), Urban Design Institute of Australia (UDIA) Urban Development Committee (2019-2022) and Property Council of Australia. He contributes to conferences in Sydney and East Asia and as guest lecturer at Sydney universities. A registered Architect in New South Wales, Simon has been an invited member of jury panels for national design competitions for the City of Sydney and City of Parramatta Council. |
