Claremont Meadows Public School

The project scope for this school refurbishment was to meet the needs of an expected 800 primary school children. It involved 12 new permanent teaching spaces for nearly 300 children, associated Outdoor Learning Spaces (COLA) and the upgrade of core facilities for children, staff and administration.

Guided by the DE’s five Education principles, consultation with school and community stakeholders (PRG) established:

  • Importance of configuring new building elements so that visual links are maintained between the existing courtyards and the playing fields
  • Importance of minimising encroachment of new building on the playing fields
  • Playful sense of diversity

Scope: Full masterplanning, architectural design, landscape design and documentation services with advice and site attendance during construction.
