Hongtu Innovation Plaza

Won by PTW via an international design competition, this mixed development included a 260m high commercial office tower with views to the South, North, and East over the adjoining Shenzhen Bay and parklands. The geometric tower maximised outlook became a signature element in the future Shenzhen skyline. The folded form of the tower with its folded diamond façade reflected the client’s aspiration for a refined and elegant statement befitting its headquarters financial institution operations now and for the next century.

Known as the hub park, a 4 level retail commercial podium wraps around part of the tower. It connected to adjoining development sites and parkland at each level via basement retail malls, ground floor plazas and two levels of aerial retail bridges. The hub park was the connection between city and park and the new metro.
