Penrith Public School - Forward with Pride

Penrith Public School

The project scope for this Penrith CBD school refurbishment involved 12 new permanent teaching spaces, associated Outdoor Learning Spaces (COLA) and the upgrade of existing staff and administration facilities to accommodate a projected school population of 700 children.

Guided by the DE’s five Education principles, consultation with school and community stakeholders (PRG) established:

  • The importance of configuring the building elements to create a diversity of spaces and links so learning could occur informally and formally, externally and internally.
  • Bold architectural forms and street presence to give identity to the school in its CBD location.

Scope: Full masterplanning, architectural design, landscape design and documentation services with advice and site attendance during construction.
