Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre

The redevelopment of the Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre aimed to redevelop the 60 year old facility with a complex that met the needs of the Ryde Community for the next 30 years and also delivered the short term need for a second water polo venue for the Olympics.

The facility incorporated a 50 metre pool which meets Olympic standards for water polo events with a legacy capacity to seat 800 spectators, a leisure pool complex, 2 speed ‘lazy river’, wave machine, tots pool, and a Program Pool for rehabilitation programs with sauna, steam room and spa. The complex also included a 2-court district standard indoor basketball/volleyball/soccer facility with capacity for 300 spectators
