St Basil’s Randwick Chapel
St Basil’s Randwick comprised 79 retirement living units ranging from one to three bedrooms, with a 113 room residential care facility. There are also community facilities including a jewel-like chapel, day care centre, multi-purpose room, pool, gym, beauty salon, wellness centre and a café providing for residents and the wider community. An expansive roof top garden provided active and passive recreation for residents, visitors and staff.
The chapel, prominently located along St Paul’s Road was also a facility open to the general public.
Public art was a key attribute of social and cultural wellbeing. At St Basil’s an art installation by Anika Asplund on the chapel façade on St Pauls Street. The uplifting artwork was a gift to the community.
